Set a pre-alert before an event

The first thing to be clear about is that Due is a reminders app—not a calendaring app.

In a calendar app, you create an event that takes place on a date and time, and you optionally attach reminders that fire before the event to remind you of the event.

That said, you can still make use of Due to set up reminders about an event, such as a dental appointment next Thursday at 4:15 pm. This video shows you how to quickly set up such a reminder that lets you:

  1. Keep track of the event itself (Dental appointment, Thursday at 4:15 pm)
  2. Set a pre-alert two days before, at lunch time.
  3. Postpone the reminder by another day when it fires.
