With the latest Due 23.6 update, we've introduced interactive checklist-style widgets for iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, allowing you to conveniently mark reminders complete directly from the widget itself.
However, some users may prefer the previous classic style widget because they find themselves accidentally marking reminders complete.
You can change the widget style by following the steps below:
- Remove the Checklist-Style Widget:
Long-press the widget on your home screen. Select "Remove Widget." - Re-add the Widget:
Re-add the widget to your home screen. This step is crucial to expose the option that controls the widget style. - Edit Widget Style:
Tap and hold the newly added widget.
Select "Edit 'Due.'"
Change the Style to 'Checklist.'
Behaviour When Tapping On Widget
In iOS 17 or iPadOS 17, tapping on an item in the small-sized widget now also opens the item for editing. This makes the behaviour consistent with the medium-sized widget.
To open Due without opening any specific item, tap on an area of the widget that is not occupied by a reminder. This could be the date or an empty space.
